Inserting Colors

To insert color values for properties, you can choose from the drop-down that appears automatically for color properties in the Style Inspector or Style Insight, or choose Select Color from the Tools menu. The Select Color dialog has three panels:

• Custom Colors allows you to create custom colors
• Named Colors allows you to select from the 140 named colors supported by all major browsers on all platforms
• Safety Colors allows you to select from the 216 web-safe colors supported by all platforms

In the Insight & Inspector section of the TopStyle Options [F8], you can specify whether to display the 16 basic named colors or full 140 named colors in the Style Insight dropdowns, and what form you want to use for color values. You can also choose whether standard names should be used in place of codes for named colors.
